Don Hite has acquired a wealth of training and experience over the past 25 years by serving as an Executive Recruiter in one of the most competitive high-tech fields in the country, the Commercial Nuclear Power Industry. During this time, he has coached thousands of the industryís most successful candidates and been paid for personally placing over 500 top-flight applicants with numerous Fortune 500 Companies.
During the 1980's, Don worked for what was then the largest recruiting firm in the nation that specialized in staffing the Commercial Nuclear Power Industry. After founding his own Executive Search Firm, Don Hite Associates in 1990, Don's efforts have become nationally recognized in his field. During the past 20 years he has also enjoyed both writing and speaking in his area of expertise.
Since first working as an Executive Recruiter in 1983, Donís client list has included many of the firms considered to be industry standards such as Amergen, American Electric Power, Calpine, Constellation Nuclear, Consumers Power, Energy Northwest, Entergy, Exelon, FirstEnergy, Fluor Hanford, General Chemical, General Electric, Google, Niagara Mohawk, Philadelphia Electric Company, Public Service Electric & Gas, Rochester Gas and Electric, Vermont Yankee, and Westinghouse.
During his career, Don has also served as a Consulting Engineer, an Officer Manager, an Expert Witness, a Technical Writer, a Therapist, and a Trainer. Although schooled in the technical fields, much of his experience has dealt with the human element in the work place. He is experienced both in Human Factors and with Quality Assurance Engineering principles. He is also a member of the American Nuclear Society.
Don holds Bachelorís Degrees in Chemical Engineering and Psychology, a Masterís Degree in Clinical Psychology, and has completed the academic coursework required for a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. He also studied parapsychology while in graduate school and completed his Masterís Thesis on the Effects of Extra-Sensory Perception.
After growing up on a farm near a small town in Idaho, Don now lives in the Pacific Northwest with his family where they continue to appreciate the great outdoors along with the family dogs and cats. He is an avid collector of crystal balls and has an extensive collection of original paintings by Mel Howard. When time permits, Don enjoys using his Celestron NexStar Telescope as an amateur astronomer, as well as working on his collection of Classic Fords.
